Giveaway Official Rules

No purchase, payment, or contribution of any kind is necessary to enter or to win, and none will improve your chance of winning. Making a donation is never a method of entry and will never earn you an entry. A free method of entry is described in Section 5 and carries the same chance of winning as any other entry.

This giveaway is sponsored by Rainbow Bridge of Hope (Authority Publisher / Jason Edward Laird), New Smyrna Beach, Volusia County, Florida (the “Sponsor”). Questions: Amber@VolusiaVoices.com.

Open only to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, organizers, volunteers, and coalition partners of the Sponsor, and their immediate families and households, are not eligible. You are responsible for any taxes on a prize and for following the laws that apply to you.

The giveaway begins at [START date and time, Eastern Time] and ends at [END date and time, Eastern Time](the “Promotion Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Promotion Period will not be eligible. The Sponsor's clock is the official timekeeper.

To enter for free, join the Rainbow Bridge of Hope email list at [entry link] during the Promotion Period and confirm your email if asked. This free entry has the same chance of winning as any other entry. Limit one free entry per person and per email address. Entry is on our own website; do not send entries by mail, phone, or social media direct message.

You may earn additional entries through optional, free actions. None of these is ever required, and a purchase or donation is never one of them:

• Refer a friend who joins the email list (each confirmed referral earns bonus entries, as shown on the entry page).
• Share the public story link.
• Follow the Rainbow Bridge of Hope pages on social media.

Sharing is never the only way to enter; the free method in Section 5 is always available with equal odds. No donation or purchase is, or ever will be, a method of entry or a way to gain entries.

The prize is [describe the prize, e.g. one of Paul Allabaugh's handcrafted small Rainbow Bridges]. Approximate retail value (ARV): [ARV, e.g. $95]. The total ARV of all prizes in this giveaway is under $5,000. There is no cash alternative, the prize is not transferable, and the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable. Shipping or local pickup of a physical prize will be arranged with the winner.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

The method used to select the winner, and the selection date, will be stated on each giveaway's entry page. Depending on the giveaway, the winner may be chosen by a random drawing from all eligible entries, or may be the eligible entrant with the most qualifying entries (for example, the most successful referrals). Whichever method is used, no purchase or contribution is ever necessary and the free method of entry in Section 4 is always available.

The winner will be notified by email on or about the date stated for that giveaway and must respond within [number, e.g. five] days to claim the prize. If a winner cannot be reached, does not respond in time, is found ineligible, or declines, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected by the same method.

This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta, Facebook, or Instagram. By entering, you release Meta, Facebook, and Instagram completely. Any questions, comments, or complaints go to the Sponsor, not to Meta.

Except where prohibited, by accepting a prize the winner agrees that the Sponsor may share the winner's first name and city to announce the result. The winner may ask to remain anonymous in any public announcement.

Information you provide to enter is handled per our Privacy Policy. Joining the email list is its own choice; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, and unsubscribing after the Promotion Period does not remove an entry already made.

The Sponsor may disqualify any entry it believes is fraudulent, automated, duplicated, or in violation of these rules. To the fullest extent permitted by law, by entering you release the Sponsor and its organizers, volunteers, coalition members, and contributors from any claim, injury, loss, or damage arising from this giveaway or from accepting or using a prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries, or for technical failures outside its reasonable control. The Sponsor may modify, suspend, or cancel a giveaway if fraud, a technical failure, or a cause beyond its control compromises the fairness or integrity of the promotion.

These rules and this giveaway are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. If any part of these rules is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
