In Jason's words

The practitioner who reached what fifteen years couldn't.

On his fortieth birthday, Jason sneezed stepping out of the shower and felt something tear loose in his back. He went straight to the floor. Amber had to wheel him to the bed in a rolling hotel office chair. He was forty and still figured it would heal on its own.

It didn't. He saw chiropractors. He tried massage. Years went by and it slowly got worse instead of better. The injury sat right at the level of his xiphoid process, the small point of cartilage at the base of the sternum, and over time that point began to protrude. In the framework Jason had worked in for twenty-five years as an acupuncturist, that spot sits over the body's center for willpower and held emotion. For fifteen years it pulled his spine out of line, fatigued his muscles, and wore on him in ways that were never only physical.

By his fifties it was affecting how he could function and how he could feel. The one person who'd ever made real progress was a practitioner named Zahir, years earlier in Austin, Texas. In Florida the search started over, and nobody could reach it.

Then Amber found Dr. Natalie Jeffries on Facebook, here in Daytona. Before they'd even spoken to her, a stranger on Facebook had already recommended Vessel to them. Amber booked the consultation. Jason walked in carrying fifteen years of skepticism and no idea what to expect.

What he found was didgeridoos and music playing, a room that felt nothing like the clinics he'd given up on. Dr. Natalie doesn't crack you and send you out the door. She works with the fascia, the connective tissue that had been gripping his spine and refusing to let go. Over several sessions she got it to soften and become supple again, enough that it finally stopped pulling everything else out of line.

“I wept on that table more than once. It was the deepest emotional release I've had. She's the first person besides Zahir who was ever able to help me.”

Jason Laird

A few sessions a week brought him to a place he hadn't been in fifteen years: steady enough to carry his own healing forward, through his own meditation and the understanding of the body he's spent a quarter century building. He'll tell you plainly that he's not all the way back yet. He'll also tell you that the door Dr. Natalie opened is the reason there's a way forward at all.

That's why Vessel Chiropractic is a founding member of this coalition.

Not as a transaction. Because Dr. Natalie genuinely reached something years of other care couldn't, and a coalition built to carry people across is exactly where a healer like that belongs.

About Vessel Chiropractic

Philosophy

Vessel is about healing the mind, body, and spirit, not just adjustments. Dr. Natalie works with the body's natural intelligence to release stress, restore balance, and open new pathways for healing. The name “Vessel” is the philosophy: the body is the vessel, and the practitioner's job is to help it do what it was designed to do.

Approach

Focused, intentional, and connected. Dr. Natalie works with the fascia and the whole system, not a quick crack and a goodbye. It was her work, shared online and passed along by word of mouth, that led Amber to book the appointment that fifteen years of searching had been waiting for.

A Healing Environment

The room itself is part of the work. Soft light, music, the low tone of a didgeridoo, a space built to let the nervous system settle before a hand is ever laid on you. Patients describe deep release, the kind that's physical and emotional at once. The whole clinic is a healing environment.

The coalition is built one healer at a time.

Practitioners, craftsmen, veterans, and community leaders who believe in honoring a pet and saving a life.

For the makers

When the last bridge sells, the mission doesn't end.

Paul made every bridge by hand. When the last of his finds a home, the inventory is gone. But the grieving pet owners don't stop arriving. The families don't stop needing something to hold.

We're looking for the next maker. A woodworker. A painter. A welder. A potter. A photographer. An illustrator. A sculptor. An artist of any medium who can build something a family keeps on their mantle for twenty years. You don't have to be Paul. Nobody can be. You can be the next chapter, under your own name, your own style, your own hands.

Photographers, illustrators, metalworkers, glass artists, weavers. The medium doesn't matter. The grief doesn't pick a form. Whatever you make, if it can carry someone's love for the animal they lost, this door is yours.
